Ajijic & Chapala lake a favorite spot for ex pats<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Ajijic is a town that belongs to the municipality of Chapala in western Jalisco in which on its shores converges Lake Chapala where originally settled indigenous communities, at the entrance is a huge tree welcomes you to the town. In its narrow rustic cobblestone streets with colonial architecture, you will find very interesting craft stores, clothing, and leather goods, as well as restaurants, bars, and art galleries.<\/p>\n

Today the town is drawn with diverse multicultural faces from the many foreigners who came to settle here as Mexico’s favorite place. It is estimated that in Ajijic live around 20,000 foreigners “ex-pats” mostly pensioners from the United States, as well as from Canada and England. There are productive communities mainly of artists. It has a pleasant climate with an average temperature of about 67.82 Fahrenheit throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Chapala Lake is the largest lake in Mexico, located 50 kilometers southeast of Guadalajara, it is an ideal place to spend time with friends, couples and families. It has a beautiful boardwalk that runs along the coast of the town, it is worth visiting its picturesque town and its riverside villages.<\/p>\n

Boat rides, kayaking, water sports and horseback riding are typical recreational activities in the area. This town has a beautiful main square and a wonderful church, where you can walk along the shore admiring its streets and residential neighborhoods.<\/p>\n
